OKAY. So. It's nearly March, but here I am getting back on the horse. If you are unfamiliar, last year I was participating in @eddie-earner's and @susie-saver 's Saturday Savers Club, but then at the end I had to pull my HBD savings for rent, and I was disheartened. I also lost Maggie right at the end of 2021, and though at first my reaction was "do all the things and distract myself" that didn't last, and eventually I fell into a slump (and a serious brain fog as well). So I've been just kind of blah for the past couple of months, not doing much of anything.
But I am getting back up, and so here is my (late!) goals post for 2022.
Since my financial situation is precarious, it's a little hard to put dollar amounts onto my goals (as well, the price of Hive fluctuating as it does). So I've decided, rather than make a daily/weekly type goal, I'm going to make a year-long goal, and report my progress on it monthly.
My Goals:
I still want that keyboard, dangit, which is currently priced at $255 ($230 for basic keyboard + $25 for sustainer pedal). So, keyboard is a goal.
BUT as seen I have basic needs that I often need to pull for like rent and cat food.
So, my goal is to pull whatever I need throughout the year as I need it for rent and such, but at the end to ALSO have that $275 (I figure with tax it's probably closer to that) to be able to get my keyboard.
Goal #1: Enough left in HBD savings by the end of the year to buy my keyboard
I also have still been picking up a couple of EDS tokens here and there after I met my initial goal of 100 of them. I really like the passive income from them giving me Hive. So, my next goal is 200 EDS tokens by the end of the year as well (I'm currently at 133).
Goal #2: 200 EDS tokens
And finally, if you've seen any of my Study With Me videos, you know I've been studying French on my own. So, this isn't finance related, but my third goal is to finish the workbook I've been using to learn French from (French Now! Level 1). There are 515 pages of work (minus the charts and glossary at the back), and after an hour of studying tonight I am currently on page 80.
Goal #3: Complete French workbook
Sadly, I just found out tonight that there is no level 2 for this textbook published! Argh. I have other French study materials which I will probably switch to after this and I'm sure there will be some overlap, but what can you do. I was hoping to continue with the same system so that I didn't have to repeat some material, but I'll also probably have a firmer grasp of it if I learn some things more than once in different styles.
So, the 2022 Kickasserole Plan:
~ 275 HBD
~ 200 EDS
~ Finish French textbook!
Wish me luck (bonus points if you wish me luck in French)! ;)
Thanks for reading! :)
