OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 61st compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

My friend @lizelle, reminded me of the time Peter and I were caught in a terrible storm in Durban a good few years ago. Lizelle said I should write a post about our experience. I was a bit reluctant at first because it brought back some funny and very sad memories. I don't have photographs of the flood, or of my friend Marie, so Peter drew some sketches for me. We were on our way to a Writers Guild Dinner, and had to give my friend Marie Thorpe a lift. I am writing this post with a heavy heart today; and would like to dedicate this in memory of my dear friend Marie Thorpe, award winning author of novels and short stories, who was brutally murdered in her flat in Durban South Africa six years ago.

Hello and welcome to my blog my dear community of Hive, today Tuesday doing homework with my little girl who is in 1st grade and is in a stage of constant learning, the theme of the day was the clock, a very important content for children and sometimes cumbersome, so we must seek mechanisms that can support us to understand it.

My mental health struggles are something that I don’t usually talk about, or even care to admit. Perhaps that’s a product of my upbringing and the environment I grew up in. But, over this past lockdown-laden year, I have slowly grown to embrace all of these… quirks, so to speak. Now I’m not a licensed therapist or even have a single ounce of authority in terms of dealing with these topics, I’m just a guy with a lot of past scars just like everybody else. I’m just here to vent to the HIVE blockchain, or to people who would bother to read this post, and to maybe grab one of those Mental Health Awareness badges. wink wink nudge nudge

I highlighted these points because I am going to share some fun and enjoyment full time that our family boys had just prior to pandemic lockdown. The best part of this pandemic isolation is that, we can enjoy our moments in best of way. It was the beginning of summer and our brothers and nephew (elders as well as younger) came together during a weekend. As mercury started to soaring, we decided to visit Ganga Ghat to take holy dip. It was only 5 km away from my sister home.

Today we pay tribute to the most wonderful and special beings in the world, thanks to them we have life and we know the most sincere and unique love; They with their sweetness and dedication captivate and fill our lives with unforgettable and unique moments that last forever in our memories, thanks to their teachings we can transmit principles from generation to generation and today in their day I dedicate with all the love in the world this inspired song In all those fighting mothers who with effort, sacrifice and dedication come forward for their children and make them exceptional people, today as every day I wish you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

I was encouraged by my daughter's insistence to do a fantasy makeup inspired by sunflowers because it's our favorite flower.... A fact about them that impresses us, apart from their beauty is that Sunflowers owe their name and are so well known because they rotate precisely in the direction that the Sun rotates. She lives only 6 months and its flower has a life cycle of 1 month. What's up?

Welcome to all hive friends and happy mothers day to the creative hive mamas. Today I want to take advantage of this moment for the little ones at home and show them how to make this superman made of wood.

Since the beginning of the covid-2019 pandemic, there has been a lot of information about the disease, its complications, prevention measures, and there have been many contributions in the field of medicine and natural medicine. Many of us, since the beginning of this disease, have sought to read about it, to be informed about what we can do apart from complying with the biosecurity measures to take care of ourselves as a family. Among these suggestions we have found that drinking tea every night helps a lot and the truth is that at home this habit was not very common but sometimes it is not superfluous to make use of nature to help health, in my home we have tried many natural teas and the truth is why not make use of what the environment provides us, but having knowledge of what we are going to use.

A big hug to the entire Hive and Musicforlife community, today I share my first cover with Cuatro, my main instrument, Cuatro, the song is La flaca de Jarabe de palo, version by Juanes ft Santana, where I have recorded an accompaniment and variations to my liking, basically improvisations, I hope you like it.🎶

I am starting to pull together some items to try making my own custom Altoids tin survival kit. There is no shortage of ideas online, so if anything, information overload is setting in. The challenge of fitting as much as possible in such a small space is the real draw. Of course, this tiny container would not be ideal as a complete survival kit, but something that fits in a pocket and has a supply of useful items could still come in handy.
