I had lost two members of my family; my parents. When i lost my mom; i felt i am going to die along with her as her last child but nothing happened to me since that horrific miserable day sometimes in May few years ago.
We all love our lives, because once death comes all hope is gone, but life is more mean than death in the real sense of it. The Dead had found their peace while the living live in limbo of what might come up in the next hours or days.
Although my happiness is yet to be fully restored, i still remember the "dark gory days" when i woke up to find my Dear mom passed in her sleep. The mourning and unhappiness is eternal, nothing could erase the memories even though the thought of death still lurking around comes once in a while.This are traumas and sad mean memories in the lives of others like me who had lost a member of their families or two.

Psychologically, sadness mixed with deep emotions weakens any rational thinking and decisions made during mourning periods and afterwards. This feelings keeps brings the thought of death back in minutes and hours, then weeks and months. Some never gets over their losses until it eventually consumes them and death comes back to harvest more.
In this wise, the bonds and love between the departed and the living remains so strong that it feels the dead wants to take this loved ones along too. Metaphysically in some regions of the World, it had been claimed that the Ghost of this departed ones still lurks around and tries to communicate with the surviving relatives or friends. This factors contributes to the feeling of Death been close by.
REUNION
There is always a feeling of reunion with the departed souls, in Heavenly place, the land of good or bad depending on individuals religious orientation. Another one of the reasons why during mourning states/periods the ones left behind craves for Death or Near Death Experience with the hope of communications or reuniting with their departed loved ones.
It is all in the subconsciousness, one of the many things sadness could do to the living is hallucinations about the departed souls seeing them is a much alive state, only some individuals experience this feelings which could only be treated by Therapy. The level of bond and love between the living and the dead e.g Mother and Children, Husband to Wife, Twins etc is a major factor in this scenarios.
DEATH IS LIKE OUR SHADOWS
Death is ever present, it is like a shadow to every living body and it clings to us day and night, therefore never be afraid of departing but be wary of things to be done while still alive. The question is; when does it strike it's blow- using it's harvesting Sickle?

Nobody knows, no one has a feeling of how it feels like to die, even the near death and out-of-the body victims could not explain it in a concise manner. The fact remains that; the love and affection we have for the departed soul remains so strong and that feels like a rope tied to a sinking ship, it takes the strong hearted ones not to be consumed by grieve and sink with the ship!
