Last night it started raining and cooling down the temperatures in The Netherlands quite a bit. Currently it's 15 degrees Celcius cooler than it was yesterday around the same time.
I'm dancing barefoot around the living room, all my windows and front door are open - I'm so happy since heat makes me feel slow.
It's summer which means beaches are a popular place to go to - it's fascinating to see hundreds of people wearing slippers and straw hats and sunglasses - laying out their huge blankets on the beach and all 'bake their skin' 30 centimeters apart from each other.
It's not my favourite thing to do, so I don't do it. I go to the beach at colder temperatures, stronger winds, preferably in autumn.
The colours of the beach are all in pastel like shades, greys, greens, beige... Like a watercolour painting.
These are the shades I like to think of when I think about Dutch stormy beaches. Today would be a good day to go - cool and windy - although the sky now is a crispy blue, not woollen grey like in the shot I took on my favourite local beach.
