I’m not sure that I had ever seen this one before!
The Banded Tiger Moth (Apantesis vittata) is a striking yet small specimen. My son saw this one and called me over. Honestly, I don’t think that I ever remember seeing one of these before.
As with any creature that can fly away whenever it feels like it, this moth had other things to do besides modelling for @papa-pepper. I still got a few nice shots, and my “proof” selfie. Has anyone else seen this kind of moth before?
