Product Details
This is the second release in the limited mintage Silver bullion series from Scottsdale Mint, featuring the striking Marlin from the beautiful Cayman Islands. This release will have a limited mintage of 50,000 coins.
Coin Highlights:
Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
Each coin comes in a protective plastic capsule. Multiples of 5 typically come in a sealed sheet. Multiples of 240 come in a larger box.
Limited mintage of 50,000 coins.
Obverse: Displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is shown over a wave-like surface, which brings the entire obverse and reverse of the coin together.
Reverse: A spectacular image of a Blue Marlin is shown arcing in the air as it jumps from the water, a light mist trailing the sports fish. Its long bill is vividly portrayed across the coin, recreating the effect of the Marlin using its bill as a weapon to stun or injure its prey. Surrounding the marlin is a nautical rope border with the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II surmounted by St. Edward's Crown.
Both obverse and reverse rims feature wavy radial lines making the coins harder to duplicate and provide a measure of security.
Surrounding the Marlin is a rippled effect in the Silver that has the distinct look and feel of the water's surface.

Question:
➩ "Why don't you take the silver coin out to photograph them?
Answer:
1 - It is sealed to protect the silver from tarnish - why would I open it and expose them to acid, grease, and moisture? Besides, I do not want to have to open it and then reseal it.
2 - Showing them "as received" provides you more information than showing them after opening them. This additional information is helpful to some - the coins and rounds were packaged differently - you'll see in posts in the future weeks of silver that I bought from them.
| I bought these to give to my grandchildren when they are old enough to treasure them and perhaps the price of silver will be not as depressed (artificially or manipulated - some say) as they have been. |
