Sunset
before the darkness swollows the bright,
the transition from light to dark,
there is this scene in between,
painted by the Universe
on the canvas that is sky,
exhibition for the entire world to see.
spattered and tucked away under the clouds,
hidden behind the shadows of trees and building,
for those who dare to step outside.
gives us an opportunity to reset,
to leave behind the before
and not think about after
but to be present because for what we know,
that is all we got,
here and now.
