During our Lake Powell Vacation we stayed a couple of days in Page, Arizona before getting on the lake. One night we decided to visit Horseshoe Bend at sunset.
It was a little rainy which was great, there were not as many people out in the rain.
This hike gets a 7/10

2 | Difficulty | Very easy walk 1.5-mile (2.4 km) round trip |
1 | Views | Great views of the bend, same view in all directions |

Carins along the trail
A little rest area on the trail
The View!
We had a great time taking pictures at the overlook. It is really really steep and a bit scary as the drop is 1,000 feet down.

In the map below you can see the curve in the Colorado River that make Horseshoe Bend.
This is my 2nd time to Horseshoe Bend and I enjoyed it so much more this time. The weather was cooler, I was with my family, and the light was better to get pictures. Glad I went back!
