There I was, thinking that this part of the process was going to be quick and easy, but I could not have been more wrong in my assumption. I was processing over 120 Organic T-shirts, and had the help of six other friends for the actual tying and dying part, so things were extremely hectic, chaotic, and disorganized as could be - even with @Hempress and I constantly reorganizing things as scattering occurred.

First of all it took much longer than expected to mix all the low impact dyes together properly - all day in fact, the day of the tie dye party. People started showing up around 5:00 PM and @Hempress and I were still measuring and mixing. Before that we spent all morning washing and re-organizing all the shirts. After we were almost done mixing later on, I divided and handed out stacks of shirts for everyone to tie dye. I gave various sizes to each person, but made sure to give the majority of shirts in each person's shirt size so they could at least have four or five shirts to pick from for themselves.

The deal was that each person ties and dyes eleven shirts, and each person helping could pick their favorite organic shirt that he/she dyed and take it home with them to keep and wear forever. I am sure many stories will be told about the tie dye party that night, as people ask about the shirts each person is wearing - most importantly that they were wade with the environment, and personal health in mind. After all, your skin is your biggest organ, don't you think we should be covering it with material/dyes that are as natural & organic as possible?

We started dyeing around 7:30 PM that night, and were up until about 6:30 AM the following morning dyeing and bagging shirts. I must say by the time I got to my dyeing (I was last since I had to manage everyone/everything else) - I was so tired I was hurting, and it was in fact painful to keep my eyes open and stay awake. Despite that, my personal tie dyes came out fantastic, and I am once again very proud of myself for creating majik in the midst of madness, with low vitality, and lack of sleep.

I must also mention that the tie dye party itself was absolute wonderful mayhem - complete with dogs, cats, and kids running around, and all over the shirts. There are few things in life better than having a massive tie dye gathering of family freinds around the holidays with many Sagittarius' in attendance... Could not have asked for a better event, or a better place to host it (thank you again Aubrey & Trippy for hosting this - much love).

After the dyes set for about 48 hours or so, we then came back to our friend's house to begin rinsing and hang drying each set of shirts. First we rinsed in cold water to stop the dye reaction, then in warm water to rinse out excess dye.

After rinsing (which sounds a lot easier than it actually is), we then hung each shirt on lines outside (we had space for sets of about 30 shirts). After they stopped dripping outside, we then took them back inside and "hung" them basically wherever we could.

This technique improved somewhat when I brought things back around our way, since we have many more hangers and places to hang.

After they dried, we took them back and washed them in sets of ten on "delicate", and then hung them to dry one final time. There were many creative ways I came up with for drying the shirts, which I will get into more tomorrow. This whole tie-dyeing project took about a week and a half of non-stop work, with late nights. This is all we were doing through Christmas.

I will be doing a follow up #Dtube video post tomorrow about some of the things that happened during the different phases of this project. Now the only things left to do is to finish herbal dyeing the rest of the shirts, and get all the dyed shirts to the printer to dye the #Anarchapulco logo(s) on them. I only wish I had time to take photos of every single shirt.
