From Artifacts up to Numismatic Evidences
I have guests from neighboring Malaysia. They want to looking for some historical evidence on the relationship between Aceh and Malaysia, in ancient times, in the 12-16 century BC, kings and sultans who ruled here has become a role model for them, because the relationship is nurtured well in the history of civilization of Malay nations.
I happened to be mandated as a guide to accompany them several days, as long as they are still in Aceh. I read on their must-see destination. And they are interested. Here are some travel trips accompanied by a summary of the knowledge that I have made here last time.

The Historical Evidence in Beuringen
First of all we visited the grave of Malik Ash-Shalih, he was a sultan who had established the kingdom of Samudra Pasai, he was buried in North Aceh. His tomb is an artifact, there is writing in the Arabic language epigraphic. This tomb already has over 800 years of age. And we can imagine how important this cemetery, because the inscription above the stone was written at the ancient times. The tomb is located in Beuringen, North Aceh.
The material tomb is made of sandstone, which was carved in Arabic script, filled with historical significance, because in the first of his leadership, Samudra Pasai was the height of glory, even the strength to lead the nation has affected the Southeast Asian region.

The Beginning of Dirham Pasai Currency"
This is the grave of his son, named Malik Adzhahir, he has also ruled peacefully, Samudra Pasai became known in different parts of the country. It was he who issued the first currency in Southeast Asia in the form of gold, gold coins can still be found, as one form of the history of civilization. The name of the gold coin is "dirham pasai".
Naming dirham as an inspired form of gold coins from Persia at that time. The Persians in the past named their coins with the name of dirhams, whether it is made from gold or silver. Not the same as in Arab, which gives the name of gold coins with the name "dinar", and "dirham" for silver.
In that gold currency, written the name "Sultan Adil" and his own name, is clearly written in Arabic, in the form of gold coins that today exchanged with the US dollar, then the price could reach US $ 30 for 1 dirham coins. This then becomes a symbol of the greatness of the kingdom Samudra Pasai.
His tomb is made from granite stone, stone believed to be a gift from the Indian period. This makes sense, because the stone with that type has never been found here before.

found in Beuringen district, North Aceh
