Ulography #2 - Random Photos (And Thoughts) From My Friday At Home

Hello Steemians! Welcome to another #ulography post!

Today was a chilled day at home. It came to my mind again how me and my friends used to go out every weekend and now I hit the party once a month, if so. I prefer relaxing days at home a lot more even though I don't feel old, haha. I think it's a lot more interesting to go out from time to time, maybe when there is a certain event, otherwise going out at the same places, seeing pretty much the same people and listening to the same music gets boring. Tomorrow one of my friends is celebrating her birthday and after that, I might go listen to one of my acquaintances singing and playing guitar - should be fun!

This was my breakfast today. Oatmeal with cacao and cinnamon, banana, peach and hazelnuts on top - loveee this combination. I still need to get more things for my breakfast like chia seeds, flax seeds, coconut protein and stuff like that. In the meantime, I enjoy this simple but yummy combo. And I can't believe I don't have any photos of my coffee's from today. Weird!

One of the books I picked up the last time I was at the library was this big one about the animals, originally Der farbige Brehm and even though I won't finish all 500+ pages, I really enjoy reading it. It's an old edition, from 1989. but it's still full of interesting fact, information and details about animals.

I am currently reading about monkeys! I love monkeys even though one attacked me in Thailand but I forgive him. :D I guess I will just go through this book and read about the animals I'm interested in. I already know I will skip parts about spiders and snakes, especially because they come with pictures and I'm not a fan of them, to be honest. A big portion of the book is dedicated to fishes, so I might skip that too.

Later on I went outside, to our backyard and I saw this cat - she is kind of my neighbor's cat and I say kind of because there's a lot of cats in our neighborhood that wander around freely but most of the times they come back to one yard, lol. There's also two little ones I see at my neighbor's and one more that comes and goes. Over the years, I can't even count how many cats like this there was.

I found two eggs today. Still waiting for the younger chickens to start laying eggs (if that's the right term, I'm not sure). I love coming to our backyard and garden especially when I try to avoid everyone and just want some quiet time. I wish we had more animals so I would have company in non-human form. :D A dog would be perfect.

Finally, I am sharing this photo of our rosette houseleek. We use this mostly for the ear pain, it really helps. All you have to do is take one leaf, break it in half and inside it looks kind of like aloe vera, it has that jelly consistency, then squeeze one or two drops into your ear laying down on the side and wait a few minutes. I was also reading about other benefits of this plant but haven't tried anything else yet.
