“How the fuck did he use magic?” James was still crouching down next to Kirk’s body and trying to make sense of what happened. He wasn’t interested in the broken glass jar and squashed ceramic pieces that served as plates like Tom was and ignored his question. “How the fuck did he use magic?” He repeated after a couple seconds to grab Tom’s attention. “I thought this dome didn’t allow it?”
“Maybe he drank this… Cryosatane and it gave him some powers? Remember how it made us feel just being near the ore.” James crouched down near Kirk’s dead body as well and looked for any signs of glowing. The foam at the corners of his mouth appeared slightly brighter than one would expect. “Maybe his body rejected it and it killed him.”
“I don’t know, Tom, but something’s definitely not right here.” James shook his head. “Touch him. Do you sense any power?”
Tom reached out and touched Kirk’s arm. He even closed his eyes to help with focus, but a couple seconds later he shook his head. “Maybe there’s a special ritual?”
“Ducköden didn’t mention it, did he?” They both remained quiet for a while, trying to make sense of the situation. The questions arising were plenty, and the answers scarce.
