Chapter 11
James kept on grabbing and letting go of Kirk’s hand in an attempt to transfer the power, but had no success. Tom, on the other hand, entered the conference room and wandered through to the next door.
The next room was Kirk’s private office. There was a large desk there, a lot of paintings on the walls and a lot of Cryosatane everywhere to serve as a light source. Without hesitation he went straight for the desk and opened the first drawer. The books inside contained nothing but numbers, and Tom concluded it must’ve been the data on economy. The next drawer contained some more books, and some scattered papers that also contained nothing Tom deemed useful.
When he opened the third drawer, however, he immediately noticed a drawing of a giant fish standing upright on its two hind fins, with a revolver belt around his waist. Fishnick.
“Damn it. Nothing works.” James appeared at the door frame. “You found anything?”
Tom didn’t answer and instead waved to James to come over. He pulled out the drawing to hand it to James and there was another one of Fishnick below it.
