Tom fished around the drawer more and found that the stack of papers was completely covered in different drawings of Fishnick, the dome, and all sorts of other illustrations. He also found a pack of cigarettes in the back end, indicating Kirk was indeed from the outside. After all, they didn't spot anyone smoking cigarettes under the dome.
James took the drawing from Tom's hand and looked at it. He'd never seen Fishnick before, but there was no mistaking a potbellied fish on two legs for anything else.
“There’s more.” Tom took the entire bunch of papers out of the drawer and put it on the desk. He also took out the cigarette box, which James immediately noticed and made the same conclusion Tom has. Tom then started spreading the drawings over the table and quickly realized they must’ve been in some sort of order, because the first few were drawings of Fishnick, with the last of them showing Fishnick dead, and likely presented his death. The ones after that drawing were either of Kirk, Cryosatane, or something abstract they couldn’t understand.
They stared at the drawings in front of them, vacantly listing through them without knowing what they were looking for, and understanding nothing. By the time Tom got to the pile’s half, he realized that if they were to understand any of it, they needed to look at them in the right order, so he piled them back up the same way he found them.
