Welcome to another episode of how to memorize names. After starting to memorize the names of Marvel Cinematic Universe actors with Robert Downey Jr yesterday, we are now looking at Mr. Captain America: Chris Evans.
The Person
Just like we did with Robert aka Iron man, we will use Chris' alter ego Captain America with his huge shield as our memory anchor. So whenever you want to remember his name, think about his shield first. That will trigger the story below and lead you to the name.
Chris
I wasn't sure about this one. It doesn't really sound immediately like something. I could have gone for crysis, which is cool. We could imagine the Crysis suit from the video game. But I settled for something easier: crisp, because it is phonetically closer to Chris. When I think about crisps I think about potatoe chips. They are actually called crisps in the UK. If you are confused by that because you come from the US, you can imagine crisp chicken wings or something. You need to change to story below in that case.
Evans
His family is even more complicated. Wait a second... Even... Yes, that works. The word even is not a concrete object which is easy to visualize. But you translate that into an even floor for example.
The Story
Ok, let's weave it all together: Chris Evans is crushing tons of crisps with his shield on the even floor. (To make sure you remember that the floor is even and not just a floor you can imagine that he spreads the bits of the crisps evenly on the even floor. )
