Attractions of Dalat: #9 Thung Lung Vang Suoi Vang

A rough translation of this is simply The Golden Valley. It consists of the large Dankia - Suoi Vang Lake, surrounded by trees and flowers sitting a glorious valley. It can be found about 15 kilometres to the north-west of Dalat. This is an ecotourism area with lush green pine trees, grasses and bonsai and was created solely with tourism in mind.

The pine trees rise majestically up to 15 metres in height and the other vegetation includes things like clovers, ginger, and more usually Mediterranean saltwort. The sloping hills provide a beautiful vista for visitors, especially in the dry season between November and March.

The site covers about 50 acres and there are plenty of activities like zip lining and play areas for children. Most of all though it is loved for the peace and tranquility that the designers have managed to develop.
