Team members (part1)
If you have a business idea in mind and you are set to put your team together, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. The roles usually need to be divided and specific. There should be no interference except for the parts of a project needing a multi-skill approach. Almost every core business team based on the Internet usually demands the following positions:
- financial manager/bookkeeper
This is a person who will make sure that you are making money. It is cool to play and creatively express yourself while flying to the Moon on awesome ideas but this person's task is to keep the team on the ground and make sure there is money to be invested and subsequently to be made.
- marketing/pr person/writer
Sales are everything. So are promotional activities. So are public relations. This person needs to be able to write and understand people's needs and cravings. Unless you are doing something for the people, your clients, who are you doing it for? Make sure this person is able to influence your target audiences.
- analyst/researcher
Information is everything. Especially during the information age. Knowing everything related to your project there is to know about it and more, is this person's task. Google is not everything, connections are important, as well as a keen eye observing changes. Ability to transform an ocean of information into coherent conclusions is the key.
- developer/web designer
This is the guy who knows how the machines work and is able to make them do what we need them to do. A developer with an understanding that all parts of a team are worth equally is a gold find.
- organizer/leader/visionary
This is probably you if you were the one who started the team. You got an idea and a vision. As a part of a team, you need to organize people, your time, their time, create a roadmap, make sure everything runs smoothly. You'll need to solve interpersonal relations as well as identify every possible obstacle that will pop up during the project.

Who could do that job? Is there someone who would fit another position better than the current one? Where will you look for your team members?
