Playing the Sims: The End of the First Generation

Legacy Challenge

Josette, and Miles Steem are my Sim Girl legacy challenge Sims. If you are not familiar with the challenge you can find it at Sims Legacy Challenge. This challenge is to basically, start your Sim out on a huge lot; with little to no money, and then play the household for 10 generations on this land. There are many stipulations, and rules for the challenge. You can find these rules by following the link.

While the Steem family continues to live in their country home, the structure of both the family and the home change and grow. This time, Milo has aged into a toddler. The random toddler trait from the Sims legacy challenge website gave Milo the independent trait.

Angelica, and Joy have gone off on their own as, Josette settles into the legacy challenge home to build a family of her own. Jack has passed away, and the numbers in this household are beginning to thin.

This is both a good and a bad thing. It is good because there will be less Sims for me to play. But bad, because I have gotten attached to my simulated family, and I will miss them.

Carolyn was the next to grow to be a young adult. She was given her final trait from the random trait generator, which was to be a vegetarian. She received a responsible trait during her childhood years.

I saved Carolyn Steem in the Sims community gallery for anyone who would like to play her. She is dressed up for the dance video she was in recently, and she should have some dance skills too!

Franny was a grade A student in school as a child. I caught a photo when she reached the mental level of 7. Later on, she reached level 8.

Franny will definitely be a good candidate to go out to the science career track, when she becomes a young adult. When your Sim child reaches level 7 of the mental skill, they can create emotion potion at the science table.

Franny aged from child to teenager and received the curator aspiration. The curator aspiration for Franny means, she will want to collect everything.

Since I have decided that I will be keeping both Jackie, and Franny at the Steem home, I will have a chance to find collections with Franny that I have not tried to find before.

While Victoria was playing chess one day, I got the notification that her time was running short.

When you have an elder Sim, in the game, you will be given one, or two notifications that they will be passing soon. No matter how well you take care of the Sim, they will need to leave the Sim world when their time comes.

If they are close to reaching their life goal, you may want to finish it when you see these notifications.

I checked to see how old Victoria Steem was, but she had already been put on age-hold. I knew that the time could be soon, so I made sure she spent as much time as she could with her grandson Milo.

I also arranged a day trip with all the girls.

One thing I do think the Sims 4 needs, is the option to take group photos. I think that would be a nice edition to the phone camera option.

Since I don’t have a group photo option, I made sure that Victoria went from person to person, and took as many photos as she could.

But as Victoria was cleaning up the kitchen, she fell to the floor.

I was given the notification that Victoria’s time had come, and that she was dying of old age. I tried my best to have the others plead the Grim Reaper for her life, but there was nothing to be done.

I received the circle of life achievement for playing a Sim from birth to natural death.

I put Victoria’s urn, next to Jack’s in Victoria’s bedroom, and that is where they will stay until I can build them a nice garden, or mantle to rest.

Victoria lived a long time in this house, and raised a big, beautiful family here.
She will be missed.

Not long after Victoria passed away, Jackie aged into a young adult. She received a responsible trait from being such a great child, and I gave her the dance machine trait, because she did so well in her recent dancing video shoot.

She will remain in the Steem household, as a young adult. The house seems empty, now that the older girls have moved out, and Victoria and Jack have passed on, but the legacy will continue.

Miles has been saving up for a new business, and I will be building his new restaurant in the next post.
