As the good things always happen today I am participating in the FreeWriteHouse writing challenge "Maynia", which will be developing during the month of May.

Synopsis

In this story the adventures that Thomas had as a sailor are narrated, when he was older he was imprisoned on an island leaving behind in the city where he lived his daughter Mindy and his wife.

On the island where he had arrived with his boat, there was a discussion in the pub where he was sharing with his friends, a fight arose, so one of those present died and he was accused of it. He was then imprisoned, being subjected to a trial of which finally without relevant evidence he was sentenced to serve a sentence on probation, he was helped by Mary who invited him to his home for not having money to pay for his accommodation. Mary was have a daughter named Angeline who was adopted by Thomas who after a romance stayed permanently with her mother.

When Mary died, Thomas decided to return to the city where he found that his wife had passed away and that his daughter Mindy, of legal age, opened the doors of his house, lodging him there until he died.

He had left the charge to Angeline that in case he died she would do everything possible to travel to the city where her sister lived, which she did not know. When he arrived in the city and called his sister, he informed him of their situation that they were both sisters and that they had to meet to elucidate the legacy of their father. Chapter XVII Scandal

Crazy

Angeline after her visit that Saturday to her sister's house, after having dinner and being kindly attended by the hotel waiter, went up to her room, turned on the TV where they were playing a fantasy movie, in which the young protagonist wanted visit many castles, around the world, the plot of the movie was attractive to her since she identified with the main character. One of the scenes that most impacted him was the moment when the protagonist, crazy about achieving her goals, did not hesitate to use non-traditional means of transport with which to reach the most remote corners.

So with renewed encouragement to start a new week, she fell asleep peacefully.

Prayer

Mindy, early Sunday she got ready to attend the Sunday service offered in a church near her home, she always attended the services accompanied by her father after he returned from the island, only in recent times when he was convalescing is that he stopped accompanying her. There she always met some of the neighbors who always greeted her with affection. During the service that day the priest in his homily spoke about the legacy that parents have to leave for their children and the blessings that they can represent for them after they pass away.

So she, reflecting on the moment she had had at her house with the visit of her sister Angeline and Andrew, appreciated the fact that her father always tried to do the best for her daughters, so in prayer to God she prayed for his soul.

At the end of the Sunday service and with a renewed spirit at the exit, she greeted her friend Rose who after greeting her made a nice comment:

"Mindy, you look splendid, what is your secret of the change you have had, last week you looked more subdued"

Laughing, she said:

"Rose, in addition to doing well at work, I have felt more closely the memory of my father after having met my secret sister Angeline"

In saying this, they said goodbye effusively.

Safety box

Already after Andrew reviewed in detail all the pages of Thomas's personal diary, the next thing he had to do was to share with his daughters what he had found, that Sunday afternoon at dinner time he went to the hotel restaurant and Angeline was already there dining.

After greeting him, she began to tell him about the movie she had seen on TV the night before and how much she would like to have been the protagonist. Andrew listened patiently to her whole story as he knew that she was going to love the news of what he had investigated regarding Thomas's diary. She finally asked him. "What do you think of everything I have narrated to you?"

With aplomb, he said:

"I realize that the movie is certainly very good, so be prepared because I think that soon you will be the protagonist of your own movie, since your father has left them a good legacy that you have to go claim"

Hearing his comment, her face lit up with a smile and she said:

"Good, this morning I prayed for it, my sister Mindy will be happy to know that news. What would be the next steps that we must complete?"

"Mindy, we must request an appointment with the manager of the Bank where are the instructions that your father left on how to claim the goods, that he left protected in a safety box, here I leave the information for you and Mindy to call, of course if you wish I can go with you ".

After the tense moment, they continued talking about general topics, after consuming the dessert they said goodbye.

Great friend

The following day Angeline expected to have a very busy workday. So when she got to work after putting on her uniform she started her daily chore.

There she had to take care of sick elderly people who were unable to walk to help them eat and give them special care. After that part of her responsibilities ended, she went to the living room where several elderly people were watching TV, suddenly one of them received a call to her mobile phone, when she finished hanging up the call she began to shout and form a scandal since her son had called her that he would not visit her that day.

Angeline, immediately came to calm her, as Charles, Thomas's friend was there, helped her hold the woman, everyone in the living room began to protest as the woman was not completely silent. The security guard at the center had to attend, who finally imposed order.

Once they took the lady to the infirmary where the doctor on duty put a painkiller on her, they took her to her room to finish calming down.

When she returned to the living room after the scare that had finally happened, Angeline sat down to rest to catch her breath, when Charles saw her, he went to her saying:

"Angeline, I see that you are a professional, you handled the situation very well, you are a worthy heir to your father Thomas"

Knowing the trust that Thomas had had in her friend, she confessed:

"Charles, the best thing is that my father was a committed man, I was at my sister Angeline's house reviewing my father's belongings and there after reading with the help of a friend his personal diary, he apparently has left us a good legacy , At the moment we already have coins and documents of great value and now we must go to a bank to find out the contents of a safe where he kept the instructions to recover his fortune, I tell you this and I don't believe it myself "

To what Charles said:

"I always had the idea that your father had left them a fortune, he had confessed this to me but he wanted me to keep it a secret, that this would be known at the right time after his death"

She admired for his words commented:

"Charles I see that you were a great friend to my father, you deserve my trust"

As it was late in the afternoon the workday was about to end, Angeline had to go talk to the head of the nursing home.
