You walk through a door - what do you see?: Day 330: 20 Minute Freewrite: Friday

You walk through a door - what do you see?

I see him sitting at the table. It looks like they are filling out some paperwork.

What is happening with your body?

I feel a cool sweat drip from my armpits. My hands begin to shake a little. I remind myself to breathe.

What does that do for you?

It helps me stay relaxed, calm, and centered. However, I'm having difficulty doing so. I can't stand to think that he is conning another person out of money.

How do you know he is doing that?

Because it happened to me, it happened to a woman I know who put up with his bullshit for seven years. Because I have warned other people of his questionable, red flag behavior. He stole their money too or scripts or whatever else he gets his hands on. Cash is his favorite. New fashionable shoes are expensive.

Where are you when you walk through the door?

I see me sitting, trying my best not to stare. A person should never look their enemy directly in the eyes, because you may get lost in the abyss staring back at you. The internet in the library goes off-line. I grab the I Ching and proceed to type out the descriptions of each of the six lines into my computer.

Why did you do that?

I am searching for ways to remain calm and centered when I am around people such as him.

There are others?

Yes, some occupy the white house. Others, the police force.

Ha! Ha? Ya ...

How often does society pluck these people out of the system? It is said that greed is a collection of all the evils for which there is no cure. Yet, in our times - 2018 - people are shy to admit intraspecies parasites is a real thing.

What would you like to see happen to these intraspecies parasites?

That is a question I'm having difficulty answering. Leaving them to terrorize the streets and the nations its helping anyone. Should we string them up? We must be careful not to become the monsters we seek to destroy. Should we work on ourselves? Yes. Could they, the intraspecies parasites, prey on sound minds then? I like to think it would be much more difficult.

Do you feel hopeless, like you can't do anything to stop what that man may do to the other - you say con him out of money?

Yes. For one thing he, Bruce is there. If I say something at that time, what would happen to me? If I pull the man aside somehow, he may not listen. He may get mad and tell him about me. Of course, I want him to listen. I rack through my brain ways in which I could drop a note, but he hasn't left the man since sitting down. I hate knowing that type of person is still roaming free! All one needs to do is gather a little evidence and pull the found string, which would lead them to a many who've lost a lot due to that man's con games.
